Overview

MotionCab is a plugin that introduces realistic head movement, G-force leans, engine vibrations, gear-shift feedback, and road-bump reactions to your in-cab camera. It works by registering a virtual input device to dynamically adjust camera yaw, pitch, roll, and zoom.

All settings are easily configurable via a simple INI file located alongside the game executable. Edit the values with any text editor and apply changes instantly with a key press.

  • Spring-damper head physics

    Acceleration forces push the virtual head around; it returns to center with a natural feel.

  • Idle breathing

    Subtle multi-sine motion when the truck is stopped; fades out as you pick up speed.

  • Engine vibration

    Amplitude scales with normalized RPM for that raw diesel feel.

  • Road bumps

    Vertical acceleration drives yaw and pitch perturbation over uneven surfaces.

  • Suspension road feel

    Wheel deflection per corner feeds into camera shake.

  • Cabin angular velocity

    Real cabin rotation drives the camera for authentic motion.

  • Cabin offset

    The truck's modelled cabin movement feeds into camera translation and roll.

  • Gear-shift kick

    Acceleration spikes produce a short sharp shake that decays naturally.

  • Micro-jitter

    Subtle high-frequency noise for added realism.

  • Camera roll

    Lateral G-force tilts the horizon during cornering.

  • Forward/back zoom

    Camera pushes forward during braking, pulls back during acceleration.

  • Toggle fade

    Smooth exponential fade when enabling or disabling the mod.
